At the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Li Ruohong and his delegation visited Turkmenistan from June 27 to July 1, promoting exchanges and cooperation among the Chinese and Turkish governments, civil society, and international organizations in various fields along the Silk Road.
During the visit, the delegation participated in the grand ribbon cutting ceremony and three-day celebration organized by President Serdar Berdimuhamedow for the new city of Alkadag; In particular, the delegation were arranged pleasant talks with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs on such topics as cooperation between private diplomacy and international organizations, the "Silk Road" cultural interaction map, smart cities, green economy, bio pharmaceuticals, agriculture and animal husbandry, youth growth, peace and public welfare, and agreed to establish timely and effective communication channels; the delegation visited the National Museum, Carpet Museum, Capital Community Construction, the famous "Darvaza Crater" and the Ferghana horse Base, and visited the residences of government officials and rural farmers respectively.
In talking with Qian Naicheng, Chinese Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Zhao Gang, Governor of Shaanxi Province, officials of the Protocol Department of the President's Office of Turkmenistan, representatives of the United Nations, and guests from many countries, everyone not only praised the long history, enthusiasm, openness, rich resources, and prosperity of Turkmenistan, but also recognized the development space of cultural and tourism industry, green energy, transportation and logistics, modern agriculture, and economic and trade cooperation. The visit by Li Ruohong and his delegation reflects the warm, diverse, and sustainable vitality of the achievements of the China Asia Summit among the two peoples.
