On the afternoon of July 25, Prof. Li Ruohong, President of the China World Peace Foundation, held a working meeting with Prof. Shahbaz Khan, UNESCO representative in China.
Prof. Shahbaz Khan said: “Entrusted by UNESCO Headquarters, I hope to further carry out close and multi-dimensional cooperation with your foundation. I have participated in the peace public welfare activities held by your foundation in Beijing Peace Garden Museum twice before, very impressive. Professor Li is very familiar with the affairs of the United Nations and UNESCO. He is a "scholar of UN and UNESCO" who shares a common language with us. We look forward to a long-term and sustainable project cooperation model with the China World Peace Foundation in the future in the areas of cultural interaction on the Silk Road, peaceful dialogue among youths, world heritage protection, scientific and technological innovation, etc.”
Prof. Li Ruohong first thanked UNESCO for its support to the foundation and put forward specific suggestions on the internationalization, specialization, diversity and inclusiveness of multi projects. The cooperation between the Beijing Central Axis World Heritage Application Project Center and the digital public welfare project proposed by him was endorsed and supported by Prof. Shahbaz Khan, the representative of UNESCO in China.
