On the 46th International Museum Day of May 18 , in order to display the bright talent resources of museums in Beijing and help the construction of Beijing Museum City, the virtual pen meeting commemorating May 18 International Museum Day jointly organized by the Chinese poetry, calligraphy and Painting Research Association, Beijing Museum Society, Beijing Peace Garden Museum, Xu Beihong Memorial Hall and Beijing Yingjie Hard Stone Art Museum was held as scheduled.

Curator Li Ruohong, speaking on behalf of Beijing Peace Garden Museum, said that under the context of war , conflicts and the national anti epidemic, we have ushered in today's International Museum Day. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the Convention on the protection of world cultural heritage and natural heritage, so it is of special significance. We hope that the museum city will be combined with the construction of the "Silk Road", the sustainable development goals of the United Nations and the central axis of Beijing's bid to make the Chinese museum cause become a new driving force for cultural communication and economic development through the path of "peace + 1". Our museum cooperates with UNESCO to establish "Silk Road Cultural Interaction" and establish a global cooperation network. Beijing has rich and warm international and cultural resources. I hope the "museum city" will be better and better under the leadership of the Beijing Cultural Relics Bureau!   

Peace Garden Museum also invited Qu Zhi, a full-time oil painter in the literature and art creation room of the Political Department of the Beijing Military Region, Liu Hengfu, an urban public artist, and Xu Xiaoyang, the eldest grandson of Mr. Xu Beihong, to participate in this event as the publicity image ambassadors for the 5.18 International Museum Day in Beijing in 2022, so as to jointly contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of the city of museums in Beijing.
