On the afternoon of October 11, H.E.Ms. Gwendolyn Pang, director of the East Asia Regional delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies(IFRC), and her delegation visited Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation at Beijing Peace Garden Museum . Director Pang held friendly talks with Professor Li Ruohong, president of China World Peace Foundation and Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, after unveiling her peace stone at the landscape stone Gallery of Silk Road Ambassador Village and visit of Peace Garden Museum.
Professor Li Ruohong reviewed his cooperation with the International Red Cross and introduced a series of cooperation projects between the Foundation, UNESCO and regional international organizations on the "Peace Garden" platform. Director Pang said that after two visits, she was deeply impressed by the work of non-governmental diplomacy, peace and public welfare done by Professor Li Ruohong and his international volunteer team, and felt a deep incentive from it. With 192 Member countries, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is mainly committed to humanitarian work in youth and voluntary service, disaster prevention and reconstruction, and global public health.
Both parties agreed to carry out multi-dimensional and deep-level cooperation in a planned way, summarize and expand internationally representative models from their rich experience and advantageous resources, form a sustainable brand effect, and mobilize social forces to innovate and develop peace public welfare undertakings.
