On the afternoon of June 11th , the "Capital Cultural Forum (issue 1): How to build a museum city in Beijing" jointly held by the capital development and Strategic Research Institute of Renmin University of China and Beijing Museum Society was successfully held in Beijing. Jinnuo, Secretary of the Party Committee of Renmin University of China, Shan Jixiang, former president of the Palace Museum, chenmingjie, director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural relics, Zhangmiao, Party group secretary of Beijing Federation of Social Sciences, Liuyuanchun, vice principal of Renmin University of China,  Liu Chaoying,vice president of China Museum Association, president of Beijing Museum Society, Liruohong,president of China World Peace Foundation  curator of Beijing Peace Garden Museum , attended the forum.

The former president of the Palace Museum, Shan Jixiang, shared his insights from his visits to world heritage and intangible cultural heritage in various provinces and cities.

In his opening speech, Chen Mingjie, director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics, stressed that at the opening ceremony of China's main venue activities on May 18 International Museum Day, the State Administration of Cultural Relics and Beijing Municipal People's Government signed the strategic cooperation agreement on jointly building Beijing as a "Museum City", and the construction of Beijing as a museum city has been entering the fast lane.

In the interview, Li Ruohong, President of China World Peace Foundation and Curator of Beijing Peace Garden Museum, put forward four suggestions: First, the promotion of museum culture. There are 104,000 museums in the world, while there are only more than 5500 in China. The quantity, scientific research and talents of museums are less than the expectation of the international community.We should train communication talents engaged in international exchanges, who can tell stories, tell stories well, tell stories of interest to others, tell stories with temperature, consensus, sustainable reality.The second is to enrich the forms and contents of museums. The establishment of platforms, brands and resources needs professional partners, policy support, cultural industry value chain and creative economy support.

Third, it needs two combinations to build the recognition of the international community : to combine the sustainable development goals of the United Nations with the construction of Beijing Museum city , to combine the traditional culture with modern civilization for professional exchanges and interactive cooperation with UNESCO and international museums . Fourth, to accelerate the construction of digital museum, especially the construction in the survival and development of epidemic situations, in the field of virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and multi-field information technology . The museum city is co constructed, not self built. Our country’s cultural power needs to strengthen international communication capacity, and the construction of cultural diversity project is the intangible assets, resource carrier and incubation base of cultural industry.
