On October 9, 2020, Dr. Li Ruohong, chairman of China World Peace Foundation and president of Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation,headed a team to visit the Embassy of the DPRK in Beijing, where he met with Mr. Chi Zailong, H.E. Ambassador of the DPRK Embassy in China and other relevant officials , and awarded “Peace Ambassador” medal of the “Belt&Road” Ambassador village to H.E.Ambassador Chi Zailong while congratulating on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the DPRK Workers' Party.
During the meeting, Dr. Li first expressed his highest regards to Chairman Kim Jong Un, the supreme leader of the DPRK, and expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Ji Jae Ryong for his contribution to China-DPRK friendship and regional peace during his 10-year tenure in China. Dr. Li Ruohong and Ambassador Chi Zailong reviewed their old friendship in exchanged visits and many activities with international influence held over the past 20 years. Many photo exhibitions, art exhibitions and exchange of traditional medicines on line were also held together this year. In the face of a complex international situation, it is hoped that in the future, the people of China and DPRK will have more space for cooperation in the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage, that the two peoples will play more unique roles in global governance, solidarity for anti epidemic, and peaceful development, and call for peace with the inclusiveness and influence of culture and art.
