In his speech, H.E. Mr. Mohammed Faisal , Maldives Ambassador to China, said that the Chinese government has helped Maldives complete many important development projects, one of which is the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge, which is a demonstration of the solid bilateral friendship and a model of win-win cooperation between developing countries.
Madam Jeehan Saleem, Ambassador Faisal's spouse , said, "We have traveled to many countries and experienced different cultures, but we think China is different. It's rich history and culture strongly attracted me. The Chinese people are very kind as well.”
