To celebrate the Sun Festival of DPR Korea,a 3 days Cultural Exhibition of DPRK was cohosted by China World PeaceFoundation, Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, DPRK Embassy toChina and DPRK Administration of Overseas Exhibition from April 3 to 6, 2014.Over 100 guests attended the opening ceremony at Peace Garden Museum on the 3rdof April. Speeches were given by H.E. Mr. Ji Jea Ryong, DPRK Ambassador toChina and Mr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of China World Peace Foundation. Mr. WangZhiguo, former Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce;Mr. Zhao Jiaqi, President of Beijing Association for Friendship with ForeignCountries; Mr. Wu Shimin, leader of Beijing People's Political ConsultativeConference; Mr. Guo Song, former Director General of Beijing InvestmentPromotion Bureau, and guests from other countries like Maldives, Haiti, Canadaand Congo attended the Opening Ceremony.

China and DPR Korea are neighbouringcountries with long history and rich culture. Korean artworks perfectly integraterealistic in to freehand brushwork techniques (which are similar to Chineseartworks) in expressing their unique ethnic sentiments. Those are greatlyappreciated by the Chinese people. This exhibition has diplayed the livelihoodand society development of DPRK people, demonstrated theenthusiasm and praise for their life through their realistic, unique,vivid andskillful technique. Over 40 photos, 60 paintings, 1000 books and over 100 pieces of handmade artworks which reflect the contemporaryKorean culture were shown on the exhibition.
