The Nepali Minster of Culture Gya Prasad Gautam visited Peace Garden with the Nepal governmental delegation on Sep. 28th, 2012. Chairman of China World Peace Foundation Li Ruohong met with them and conducted a friendly conversation.
Mr. Li introduced them the special history of Jingdezhen ceramics and some works of art. After that, they visited the international friendship forest and well-known peace exhibition garden. The Nepali delegation took photos in front of the inscriptions of their own country.
In the following conversation, Mr. Li elaborated on the Peace Plus model of China World Peace Foundation and presented the fruits of combining UN Millennium Development Goals with peace and art, peace and education, peace and sports, peace and health, and how it promotes the development of disadvantaged groups and undeveloped countries. Mr. Li suggested that China and Nepal should fully take advantage of cultural diplomacy and enhance the communication between the two countries in fields of art and culture, improving social and economic development by establishing credit mechanism.
The Nepali Minister of Culture Gya Prasad Gautam expressed his heartfelt thanks to China World Peace Foundation for concerning and promoting Nepali development. He narrated Nepali history and ancient legends, and its cultural communications with China. He pointed out that Nepal attached equal importance to historical and cultural heritage and wished Mr. Li could continue to promote the cultural cooperation between China and Nepal on this international platform. He also invited Mr. Li to visit Nepal.
