China World Peace Foundation Discuss UN Millennium Development Goals and Promoting China-Pakistan Cooperation

On September 8, 2012, China World Peace Foundation invited Pakistani delegate composed of political and business heads to meet with Chinese delegates of Beijing and Shandong entrepreneurs in the China-Pakistan Economic Cooperation “Peace Garden” Dialogue. Mr. Li Ruohong and Mr. Khalid Malik, director of Human Development Program Office, UNDP, delivered speeches in review of China-Pakistan history of friendship and existing cooperation opportunities. Delegates from both countries are from areas of financing, automobile, energy, manufacture, real estate, investment, and probe into collaboration opportunities in the meeting.
On September 7, Mr. Li Ruohong attended the Accelerating Sino-Pakistani Economic Partnership Roundtables in Diaoyutai, and made speech of “NGO---UN Millennium Development Goals----Sino-Pakistani Relationship”. He said: The harmony of international society order, the harmony of international economic relationship, and the harmony between nature and human being are all rooted in balance of interests. We should balance the social relationships with love and interests. If we change the view of angle to promote the Sino-Pakistani economic cooperation through combining UN Millennium Development Goals, as anti-poverty, environment protection, food safety, health care, etc., which are crucial for sustainable development. Developing the economy through means of cultural diplomatic and social reform, it will expand our vision of communication and scope of cooperation.
It is the first time for Pakistan high level entrepreneurs’ delegates to visit China. Mr. Li Ruohong sent his best wishes that the friendship between two nations could be strengthened through the dialogue. Both countries will jointly promote the bilateral economic and trade cooperation, therefore make contributions to the career of world peace and welfare.
