At the invitation of H.E. President Ouattara of Cote D’Ivoire, with the assistance from China World Peace Foundation and China-Cote D’Ivoire Friendship Association, an investment investigation delegation compromised of more than fifty large state-owned enterprises and private businesses visited Cote D’Ivoire from August 9th to August 11th.
Leading 12 cabinet ministers, President and Premier of Cote D’Ivoire accorded the delegation high-level reception. Entrepreneurs from aspects of industry, agriculture, infrastructure, science and technology, energy, finance, culture, trading and others talked with ministers as well as heads of associations in different industries. Apart from that, the delegation also visited airport, port, oil and mineral enterprises, and other investment sites they showed interest in. On the meeting held by foreign ministry, members of delegation had contact with enterprises and associations of industries from different cities in Cote D’Ivoire.
When interviewed by the state television of Cote D’Ivoire, Chairman Li Ruohong of China World Peace and China-Cote D’Ivoire Friendship Association stated that, “Chinese delegation has felt the deep friendship between Cote D’Ivoire and China and seen the environmental improvement for investment in Cote D’Ivoire. We are confident to invest on the construction of the ‘beacon of West Africa’, which will embody the international social responsibilities China has taken during peaceful development.”
