Igor Rogachev and China Symposium in Peace Garden to Advance China-Russia Friendship

On June 26th 2012, Igor Rogachev and China Symposium in memory of late Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Russian Ambassador to China Igor Rogachev was held by China Foundation for International Studies and its China Hand Club that was co founded with China World Peace Foundation. Director of China Foundation for International Studies Zhang Deguang, Assistant of Foreign Minister Le Yucheng, former Deputy Foreign Minister Tian Zengpei, Former PLA Deputy Chief of Stuff Xiong Guangkai, former Chinese Ambassador to Russia Li Fenglin, Deputy Director of European and Central Asian Affairs at Foreign Ministry Qi Dayu, Russian ambassador Razov Sergey, Minister-Counselor Evgeny Tomikhin, Senior Counselor Zinoviev， other former ambassadors, scholars, journalists that had intimate relationship with Igor Rogachev during his lifetime, as well as his relatives attended this symposium.
The symposium was hosted by director Zhang Deguang. He emotionally reviewed his experience together with Ambassador Igor Rogachev in establishing and developing China-Russia strategic partnership of cooperation, spoke high of the Ambassador’s deep love to China and his special contribution to China-Russia relationship. Tian Zengpei, Xiong Guangkai, Li Fenglin, Le Yucheng, Qi Dayu, Ambassador Razov Sergey, Wang Fengxiang, Russian consultant of SCO Anton Zakharov, Yu Zhenqi, Gong Liefu, Ambassador Igor Rogachev’s daughter Galina, famous translator Gaomang, director of CRI Russian Department Fan Bingbing, old revolutionist Li Sanli’s daughter Li Yingnan, as well as other attendees respectively recalled their association with Igor Rogachev with emotion. Through videos and lots of pictures, they introduced the Ambassador’s growth history from his first visit to China at two to becoming an outstanding Russian sinologist and diplomat and highly praised his spirit of devoting himself to China-Russia good neighborly and friendly relationship. It is agreed that Ambassador Igor Rogachev had won the friendship, trust and respect from Chinese civilians and sate leaders. They affirmed his tremendous feats to the development of China-Russia relationship. His voice, words, gestures were recorded repeatedly in the video, looking as if he is still living among us.
Before the symposium, Russian ambassador Razov Sergey, director Zhang Deguang and other participating leaders and guests unveiled the stone inscription of Razov Sergey when they visited the Peace Garden landscape.
