China-Cote D’Ivoire Friendship Association Improves Friendly Cooperation between the Two Countries

Themed as “reconstructing and developing Cote D’Ivoire”, the second Cote D’Ivoire Economic and Trade Promotion was solemnly opened in Beijing on May 14th 2012. Mr. Li Ruohong, the chairman of China World Peace Foundation and China-Cote D’Ivoire Friendship Association, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony as invited. He said, “I wish friends from all walks could make full use of resources to launch the communications among cities and industries of the two countries under the support of the governments and international organizations, and find out new highlights from the economic and trade cooperation, so as to push to a new stage. Wish this promotion a complete success.”

This promotion was sponsored by Cote D’Ivoire government and Cote D’Ivoire embassy to China. It will last for a week and continuously held at Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Standing vice chairman Mrs. Li Xiaoqiang, vice chairman Dr. Li Ruohong, and Mr. Guo Aihua, vice chairman of Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, warmly welcomed Cote D’Ivoire government economic and trade delegation led by Mr. Abbey, the deputy district head of Abidjan in Cote D’Ivoire, and H.E. Ambassador Coffie. The two sides had a nice meeting regarding further strengthening the civil friendly communication and cooperation between China and Cote D’Ivoire, Beijing and Abidjan, and other issues related to friendly cities and Confucius Institutions. Mr. Abbey and H.E. Ambassador Coffie delivered their thanks to Dr. Li Ruohong, the Chinese president of China-Cote D’Ivoire Friendship Association for his effort to promote the friendly cooperation between China and Cote D’Ivoire.
