On the 5th Peace and Sport Forum recently held in Monaco, Mr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation met with and had talk with HSH Monacan Prince Albert II, Hungarian President Dr. Schmitt Pál, Lesotho King Letsie III and his wife, Burundi President Nkurunziza and his wife, Macedonia President Gjorge Ivanov and his wife. They are all the Chinese people’s old friends. Chairman Li hoped to develop a friendly relationship between China and various countries by means of sport based diplomacy and cultural and economic exchanges, aiming to explore a way for multiple cooperation on both governmental level and people-to-people level when China is currently building up the country with the power of culture, and to contribute to the peace, prosperity and stability of the international community. On the forum, the CWPF delegation also met with Chairman of Sport Accord, Mr. Hein Verbruggen and a number of IOC officials as well as held discussions with sport ministers of many countries on how to develop cooperation relating to sports items and activities between Peace and Sport China and various countries.
